hi everyone! hey-has anyone ever had breakfast at the Hilton--we will be there in the am next week--or should we try another place??? OAKEY
breakfast at the hilton
Oakey - unless there%26#39;s a weekend brunch, the only place to have breakfast at the Hilton is in the Horizon%26#39;s coffee shop. That%26#39;s their 24-hour restaurant. It%26#39;s actually pretty good, they make great omelettes and offer up the usual breakfast fare. It%26#39;s reasonably priced and you can use comp dollars. Just across from Horizon%26#39;s is a free-standing coffee shop (their version of Starbuck%26#39;s) called Cappucino%26#39;s. They have pastries, donuts, bagels, and take-away salad and sandwiches. They have very little hot food (if any). You can also get room service, and their eggs benedict was surprisingly good. The Oaks bar is now open for lunch (at least on weekends) and they have a nice menu of burgers, sandwiches, and salads (the Dizzy Dolphin salad is awesome). They also have a sushi bar. It%26#39;s not cheap, but the food is good.
If you want to venture off the property, there%26#39;s a restaurant just down the boardwalk at the Days Inn (next to Trop). I forget what it%26#39;s called but it%26#39;s a chain and they are big on their ';skillet breakfasts';. On the same block but two blocks in is the Chelsea Pub, a bit of a dive bar open 24/7 with good Bloody Mary%26#39;s. To be honest, I %26#39;ve never had their breakfast -- if I need a bloody that early I%26#39;m certainly in no mood to eat! The other food is passable and very inexpensive.
Have fun!
