My wife (37) and I (40) are looking for a place to stay in LBI. Laid-back and quiet. Cheap %26amp; Clean. Nothing fancy.
We love good restaurants as well as local, well established down-to earth places. Drinks. Good music. No loud, drunken kids.
When we go to the beach we usually go to Wildwood Crest because our teenage daugher loves the Boardwalk and we like that it is close enought to it but still far away from it to enjoy some quiet time and the beautiful beaches.
We%26#39;re planning on going August 26th %26amp; 27th.
Thanks!!
Where to stay?
On LBI I am most familiar with Beach Haven, which has plenty to do on a short stay. Most of the motels, and B%26amp;Bs are within a few blocks of each other so all are convenient to shops etc Beach Haven has some shopping, a few clubs, and very good theater (The Surflight). You didn%26#39;t say what cheap means to you, and that is a pretty popular time but go to www.lbi.net and follow the hotel/lodging links. For a motel, I would check out the Coral Seas, The Spray Beach Inn, The Engleside. For B%26amp;B try the hydrandea House, The Amber Street Inn or Julia%26#39;s of Savanah. Have fun.
Where to stay?
Although this post is too late to advise Rambo66, the recommendation to fit their needs is the Surf City Hotel. Spanning the block of 8th and 9th Streets on the Boulevard in Surf City, the hotel offers comfortable, newly renovated rooms, there%26#39;s a good restaurant on the first floor, and no loud, drunken kids at the long-time popular and well-established bar. The Surf City Hotel is on the beach block, a short walk up the street to the family-oriented beach that is Surf City.
