Heading to LBI this weekend and especially interested in places to eat some good seafood. Ambiance less important than chow itself. Any suggestions?

In the Beach Haven area, try the Boathouse or Stephanos (Italian, but there%26#39;s plenty of good seafood on the menu). If you like casual, raw bar type of joints, check out the Harvey Cedars Clam Bar (in Beach Haven), eat at the counter, try the mussels marina. Also casual, the Beach Haven Fishery. I am not as familiar with the more Northern end, but for a nicer adult type place try Yellow Fin (in Surf City, I think). Have fun, we%26#39;re headed back ourselves this evening. Hopefully, the Parkway in not a parking lot!!

Year %26#39;round locals like me and vacationers alike will tell you that THE place for seafood on Long Beach Island is Harvey Cedars Shellfish Company. In the heart of Harvey Cedars, this place has been garnering accolades as ';best of the Jersey Shore'; from respected publications%26#39; reviews for more than two decades. If you want a true Island place without the out-of-character attempts at New York style ';ambiance'; and / or the accompanying high prices, and you want truly great seafood by and for lovers of Long Beach Island, Harvey Cedars Shellfish Co. is the answer to your query. This response is too late for you this season, as they have closed until spring.
