Questions on the Borgota

I received a mail flyer for a free night Mon-Thur and 25 comp dollars as well as 25 dollars in slot credits....Has anybody else used this promotion? Also how are the Classic rooms at the hotel?

Questions on the Borgota

Gary - the Borgata is very nice, even the classic rooms (which are still among the newest rooms in AC). The 25 slot dollars must be played in a slot machine, you can%26#39;t download them like you can in other casinos. There are so many things to do at the Borgata that one night is hardly enough. If you are into gourmet dining, you will be in heaven!

Have fun,

Questions on the Borgota

Grab the offer and have a blast in AC.

CHEERS !!!!!!!!!

Well worth it. Borgota rooms are very nice and bathrooms are incredible. The floor to ceiling windows are very nice. Some great restaurants and yes, a heck of a lot of ';stuff'; to keep you busy.

I just returned. I also had a comp for a middle of the week room, but I can%26#39;t use that. we work. I asked for and received a comp for the weekend. I was surprised at that...... Of course I paid for the room in the end (lol). I was given the classic room. It was okay. The bathroom as the others stated was beautiful, but the room itself was like a brand new hampton inn, nothing special, but very clean. I can%26#39;t comment on other places, except I know I was at Caesars last year, and the rooms were very old, so it was much nicer at the Borgata.

Hey, how exactly did you turn your mid-week comp into a weekend comp? Do you already have a history at the Borgata? Or was there an assumption made that you would put a lot of coin-in?

Does this work at other hotel casinos in AC?

I don%26#39;t know. I called and said I couldn%26#39;t use the weekday comp, and they comped me the fri and sat. Maybe they made a mistake, or maybe they looked at my husband%26#39;s play, and wanted to lure us in. My husband was only there once before for a few hours. Maybe as I said , they looked at his play, and figured they would give it to us and see if we became regular customers, and if not, after this last stay, I won%26#39;t receive much again. Either way, I wasn%26#39;t looking a gift horse in the mouth, but as I said, I paid through the nose for those rooms anyway in the end..... Either way they win...l(lol). I think the Friday was a lure, and the sat. night might have been an error on someone%26#39;s part, because I was told you have to gamble plenty to see a fri and sat, night at the casinos, and I don%26#39;t think my husband is quite the high roller, according to their standards.

I%26#39;ve got a Mon-Thurs 1 night comp at Resorts that I%26#39;m considering trying to turn into a Friday comp leading up to the allegedly rescheduled trip that got cancelled last weekend (see my other thread). What are my chances of success?

Hi, just ask, all they can do is say no....

jmp.... Ask someone in Marketing if you qualify for ';Casino Rate';. It is a substantial reduction off of the rack rate. If they say no, you could choose to book at the regular rate, then play exclusively there (no casino hopping) and ask a host just before checkout if you can get anything taken off. Of course, this will only work if you put quite a bit of coin through the slots or play extended hours at above-minimum table games (likely $25 and up).

A less likely scenario would be if the hotel --for some strange reason-- is not fully booked within a couple of days (say, by Wednesday), you could ask to speak to a host and see if she would be willing to try to accomodate you. Any rooms that had to be cancelled to avoid penalty would have been done by now, so maybe there might be a handful of rooms available.

It doesn%26#39;t hurt to ask. Good luck!

';all they can do is say no';. You know, I%26#39;ve heard that advice all my life, mostly when dealing with girls. Pessimist that I am, I always thought the worst they can do would be to say no, humiliate me and then kick me in the unmentionables and then tell all their friends about it! :)
