A friend asked me the best way to get to the Foxwoods from Cherry Hill. Last year he took the turnpike to the GW and was stuck in traffic around the GW for 2 hours. It took him 7 hours to go from Westchester County to Mt. Holly. I advised him to try taking the turnpike to the parkway to the TZ, as I thought the TZ would be less stressful. I sometimes take the turnpike to exit 4, and then take Route 3 over to the Parkway. Then I take the Parkway to the NYS Thruway to the TZ. I don%26#39;t usually take the parkway from exit 11 on the Turnpike as the Parkway traffic is very heavy through Edison, the Oranges, etc.
Any thoughts or alternate route suggestions?

New Jersey Garden State Parkway may be as crowd as Turnpike at traffice hours, so I took Fwy 287 North then I-84-East, then when arrived at Hartford CT, take Route 2W East to Foxwood Casino.
It may take dozens more miles, but it is guarantee to arrive Foxwood in just 3 hours, rather than 7 hours ...
