Day Trip 10/19/06

I booked a day trip (10/19/2006) to Atlantic City thru Spirit for $14 each way. Is there any websites that has printable coupons? I%26#39;ve never been and would like to maximize the limited time we will have there (about 10 hours). Also, are there any recommendations on a shuttle from the airport to the boardwalk area? Is the boardwalk area where the casino%26#39;s are located? Any information is greatly appreciated...

here is a coupon site from the visitor%26#39;s center

I do not believe there is a shuttle from AC Intl airport to AC, think it is cab ONLY. But, there is a maximum fare the cab can charge for trip to/from airport - like $25. It should be posted somewhere at the above site.

Thanks...

Is the airport far from the boardwalk????

10 miles as the crow flies. If you%26#39;re not a crow and need to drive, it%26#39;s 13 miles.

There are coupons in the American Casino Guide . mailorder from their website . If you sign up first you can get slightly damamaged books for about 37% off (0r about $11) . They have 2 for 1 buffets at Taj and Resorts . 2 for 1 at Riply%26#39;s believe it or not , free gift ( T-shirt ) at Taj . Plus they have really good gambling info and casino info . Also the south edition ( Atlantic County) of Entrtainment books ( entertainment.com ) has some coupons . You can also get discounts at restaurant.com

All but 3 casinos are on the boardwalk .

You can get more AC info at whoot.com .

Hope you have fun. I just spent a couple days there in the end of August. I recommend signing up for the comp cards at the casinos. I spent about $200 gambling at the Tropicana and they just sent me a letter giving me 3 nights consecutive stay on the house and I am going back in October. A BIG MUST DO IS GETTING A SUB FROM ';THE WHITE HOUSE'; It is about 3 blocks back from the boardwalk. (Ask anyone...they are World Famous!!! They are absolutely the best subs I have ever had!!!! Their wall is filled with celebrities who have eaten there....and some celebs pay to have their subs shipped to them!!!! By far the best sub I ever ate!) Go thru the Ripley%26#39;s Museum too...that%26#39;s fun. Also...one block back from the Boardwalk (parallel with the boardwalk) you can take a ';Jitney'; (small bus) that charges $2 and runs the distance of the boardwalk. Hope you have a good time. But definately get those free casino comp cards...they pay off.

disneyholic... Really hope you enjoy your day in AC! I think once you get a taste of it, you will want to come back for stays longer than 10 hours. %26lt;grin%26gt;

Airfare for $14?!?! The rest of us can only dream of such fares to AC! lol

Yes, White House is great. Also, too, is the Irish Pub, which is located on St. James Place just south of Resorts Casino. Both places have great food at reasonable prices. You might have better luck being served quicker at Irish Pub. White House gets busy throughout the day, and is in a smaller building. Hope you get to try one of these great places.

FYI: The Boardwalk from the Showboat (northern tip of Casino Row) to the Hilton (southern end) is a long walk. Might want to duck inside the other casinos for a rest as much as the sights. There are benches along the Boardwalk to sit on for a break as well; people watching is free and usually a lot of fun! %26lt;grin%26gt;

Let us know what you think of AC on this site when you get back; we love to hear the opinions of first-time visitors! %26lt;grin%26gt;
