Hi all--just came back from Las Vegas and watched a slot tournament in action. Can anyone tell me what one is like in Atlantic City? I got a postcard from Bally%26#39;s but there is no pre-registration, and I%26#39;m wondering if it%26#39;s a mob scene. Any insights appreciated. Thanks.
Slot TournamentsThe only slot tourney I participated in at AC was the Slingo slot tourney that used to be free on Fridays (about a year ago?). For that particular tournament you just signed up for a time at the players card booth when you got there. Then you had 5 or 10 minutes (at your assigned time) to bang furiously on the ';bet max'; button for the duration.
My friend won the round and won a Slingo teeshirt and $50 free play.
I also have played in a slot tournament in Vegas, downtown, there they gave you 10,000 credits and let you do the best you could with it, best score won.
In December I am going to Vegas for the Harrahs Winterfest slot tournament. I will let you know how it goes.
But it is not really a mob scene. I think you have to sign up ahead of time, so the total rewards card booth may be busier. But it is not like people are brawling over machines, etc - they are already assigned.
Slot TournamentsIts very organized at the Taj as well. You probably have to swipe your card at the kiosk and print an entry ticke-Goodluck!
I did the last freebie at Bally%26#39;s . If you go in the half hour or so before the end you will have under a five minute wait . , The game itself only takes about 5 min. to see if you qualify for the finals . If you go at the hight of the wait it may take up to 20 minutes to start playing .
