Embassy Suites Hotel, advice needed

We will be staying at the Embassy Suites Hotel in Secaucus. On the bus map I noticed a Walmart store, which seems to be pretty close. However, as the map does not have a scale, I wonder how far it really is from the hotel. Can somebody give me some idea whether it is within easy walking distance?

One more question. On the map it says: no sales tax on shoes and clothing in New Jersey. Does that mean, there is never a sales tax on these items within NJ or are there certain conditions that apply. Do you have to be a citizen of NJ to take advantage of this tax break?

They don%26#39;t check for ID or anything.
