Question For All Card Players

Besides Texas Hold Em%26#39; Poker i want to take on a new Table Game ( but not Black Jack ) so any suggestions / advice would be greatly appreciated,Thx.

Out of 3 %26amp; 4 Card Poker, Caribbean Stud, Let It Ride and the new Hold Em%26#39; Poker Table Game which one has the best odds for the player and which one do you find easiest to win at.

Has anyone played this Hold Em%26#39; Poker Table Game. I seen it at Wild West Casino last time i was there in August but i never took the time to check it out. I am very interested in it and the casino here does not have it and i cannot find any info on it.

Question For All Card Players

Wish I could help Term,But you know me Slots only.Guess I should get back into cards. Cheers!!!

Question For All Card Players

Do you mean the texas hold%26#39;em game that you play at a table against the dealer (instead of in the poker room against the other players)?

A friend of mine has played this game in Vegas. He was telling me about it, but the only thing I really remember is him saying it could be a sizeable investment per hand because of the way the bidding is set up.

I%26#39;m going to talk to him on Tuesday. Let me know exactly what questions you have and I%26#39;ll ask him.

I would play 3 card poker. I%26#39;d play only the ante (pairs plus is a sucker%26#39;s bet) and raise on a hand of Q-6-4 or higher. Fold otherwise.

This info comes from wizardofodds.com

Haven%26#39;t played it, but Harrah%26#39;s AC had the game you%26#39;re speaking of (Texas Hold%26#39;em)...there were only 2 tables when we saw it (quite a few months ago)...looked interesting, but good luck getting an open seat!

Term,

do you subscribe to the magainze Casino Player? (I first found it in my hotel room at the Borgata). They have articles about these games and the various odds all the time. I am not a card player, so I mostly skip over these articles. They publish Casino Player and Strictly Slots. Pretty fun magazines. My friend plays 3 card Poker %26amp; swears by it. Says he has won lots of $$. I am never there at the table of course, so I can%26#39;t validate that.

I have been doing some research and i think the 3 card poker is the game i%26#39;m going to try out. It%26#39;s basic strategy plus the house and player%26#39;s edge are good odds.

As jmp14 said i think the pairs%26#39;s plus is also a suckers bet. and just stick to the ante bet.

CHEERS !!!!!!!

term - 3-card poker is a fun game and pays pretty well if you hit a few good hands. I%26#39;ve seen a lot more big payouts there than at Let it Ride, and they seem to hit more consistantly (straight flush pays 40-1 on the bonus, 3 of a kind pays 30-1). I would never play this game without betting on the pair-plus, since that%26#39;s where all the money is. The pair-plus bet pays even if the dealer beats your hand. Some people bet more on the back bet, so if you win with less than a pair you still have a net income. At a ten dollar table you must risk at least $30 per hand to stay in, so it can get very pricey. However, if you bet $10 on each and hit a straight, you will make $90 (if the dealer does not qualify, you make $80). The odds of hitting a straight, flush, or a big hand are so much better than with Let it Ride, since you only have three cards. I like to play this game when I%26#39;m up a little; the pace is quicker than Let it Ride, and your money can go really fast if you hit a bad streak. Next time you have a little house money in your pocket, you should give it a try. Like any game, it%26#39;s loads of fun when your winning!

Good Luck
