riding rail to newark airport

I was wondering how feasible it would be to train the light rail train from newark delaware to newark international airport in new jersey for 2 people with luggage. I researched the prices and it would be about $74 round trip since one is a senior. Saves $70 from parking at airport for 15 days.Don%26#39;t know how much of a hassle it would be with 25 inch suitcases. I know we have to change in Philly and in Trenton. Another option is to park at Edison NJ, its only $2 a day to park there and you can do overnight. Then its a short train ride to newark airport. . I think we did that on a trip to NYC once, but that was a short trip. Anyone know how safe it is to park at Edison for 2 weeks??? Any help would be appreciated.DJ

Do you really want to risk your car just to save $50?????

The Edison train station parking lot is in a ';safe'; area. But there are no guarantees. ANYTHING can happen in the 2 weeks your car is left there. The lot is not patrolled.

Drive up to Newark Airport and park in one of the private parking lots. Some of them have discounts.

The option I would use if it was my car is to take Amrak from Newark Delaware to Newark Airport. It seems that many if not all the Amtrak trains stop there. Leave your car safely at home.
