AC trip this weekend

Hi All,

Love reading the boards! We are going to AC tonight and coming home on Monday. Trip is to take 17 year old daughter and a friend to Nick Lachey concert. We will be staying at the Borgata. Any suggestions on cheaper food that is decent would be great. Guess weekend weather is gonna be bad. Any suggestions on inside stuff to do with 2 teenage girls. Will give a report when I get back. Thank You to everyone who posts on the board the advice is great.

In my opinion, all the %26#39;casual dining%26#39; options in the Borg are reasonably priced. Plus they%26#39;ve also got something called %26#39;the cafeteria%26#39; which is like a food court. Check out theborgata.com for details.

Taking the jitney to the boardwalk would give you more options. The jitney stop at the Borg is covered but I don%26#39;t think the ones on Pacific Ave (runs parallel to the boardwalk) are.

Steak38 on Brigantine is a very nice Steak/Seafood house that has great early bird specials ( 4-5:30) just take the bridge past Trump Marina and go another 1/2 mile .

Also on Brigantine is a casual place called Pirates Den . They also have earlybirds . Just keep heading for the far right corner of the island once you get past Steak 38 .

Old Waterway has earlybirds ( Look in AC Weekly for inf and directions . )It%26#39;s near Borgota .

If you want burgers try the HOBs at Showboat . $10 for a 10oz. Cheeseburger Delux . RiRA at Trop also has good Burgers and sandwiches .

I am curious to see how the Borgata turns out. I read the reviews. I will let everyone know how I made out there. I am very customer service oriented but a down to earth person. (Pretty Poor!!), so I am sure I will not get star treatment. I can%26#39;t wait to get back on Mon and let everyone know how it was!

walls3228 - There is a Fatburger in the cafeteria/food court at Borgata. They looked really, really good and the price was reasonable. Sadly, the line was too long so we did not wait to try them. There is also a pizzeria, salads, a cheesesteak place, chinese - most are fast food type places and should definitely appeal to the teens.

Also Chelsea Pizza II delivers to Borgota Rooms . You can get a lot of restaurant info in the AC Weekly ( free when you check in )

I%26#39;m sure they would enjoy walking the Boardwalk, you can take the jitney from the Borgata to the Showboat than walk the Boards from there to the Tropicana, while at theTropicana you can check out the Quarter and all of it%26#39;s Shops and Restaurants. Just that should take several hours while making stops at different shops along the Boardwalk as well as going into the new Pier Mall which is infront of Caesars on the Boardwalk than head on down to the Trop.

Another thing 17 years old girls would love is shopping in The Walk area which has many good outlet stores and places to eat as well as a Starbucks where you can sit for a while inside or out and enjoy a coffee etc.. Just grab a Jitney at The Borgata and ask the driver where to get off for the Walk Outlets.

The Irish Pub is a great place for cheap eats right off the boardwalk on St.James Place.

The Whitehouse Sub Shop is also another fav local eatery which ihas great Subs.many famous people have eaten here over the years with their pictiures lining the wallls inside. The Sub Shop is a 10 minute Max walk from the Walk Outlet areas , it%26#39;s on Atlantic Ave.

Another great local place for Good food and Cheap prices is The Baltimore Grill right beside the Trop. We ate there in August and heres what i said about it in my review:

'; We than headed to The Baltimore Grill for dinner. ( first time there ) We ordered 3 cokes, 1 coffee,1 large sausage %26amp; mushroom pizza and 1 spaghetti dinner with meatballs. The bill came to $21.00. What a bargain as the food was excellent and the staff very friendly.';
