Tropicana

Just booked for Tropicana for two days during Thanksgiving. Opinions on the Trop? I%26#39;ve been there and played there but not stayed there. Also - how%26#39;s the atmosphere in AC during Thanksgiving? Thanks!

Ive never stayedat the Trop but Ive stayd at the Taj the Friday and Saturday after Thanksgiving--its pretty quiet there! And i love it!

I recently made The Trop my Host casino. The Havana Tower is the Newest Tower. The North Tower Rooms are all Newly Renovated. The West Tower Rooms were Renovated about 5 years ago and The South Tower has just Completed Renovating their rooms a couple of weeks ago. The North / South and HavanaTowers are the only Towers with Ocean Views.

I stayed in the North Tower last month and the Room was very nice. The bed was new and the mattress was awesome. There was a Safe, Coffee Maker with Packets of Coffee in the room. A 25 inch not Plasma just a regular Tube TV. A few bottles of shampoo / lotions and lots of towels. The shower had a Rain Shower Head. The bathroom / shower was rather small but suited me just fine. The Tub was a regular size.

The elevators let you on and off right inside the casino which was very convienient. The indoor pool is located in The South Tower. I never went over there. I will be going next month aqnd staying in the same ( North Tower ) which is just fine and very clean. I didn%26#39;t have any ocean view as i didn%26#39;t request it.

Thank you both for your replies! And that%26#39;s a great detailed reply on the Trop. Just what I was looking for. And if you made it your host hotel, I%26#39;m assuming they treat you well?

I found that they are very good with the comp system. If you don%26#39;t have a players card you will earn double cashback %26amp; comps on your first visit, so make it count as builds up fast.

I also noticed that when i checked my account in the comp machine i had a free Imax ticket and a pass to Diamond Jims Club.

You have to navigate through the different menus on the comp machine to find some things.

Thanks Terminator1! I do have a card with them, but haven%26#39;t had much occasion to use it since I don%26#39;t hit AC all that often. I%26#39;ll put it to good use this time.

Jame-Good to know about the restaurant choices. That was part of the thought process in choosing the location. Hopefully something for everyone.

Diva: The Quarter is terrific. Carmine%26#39;s from New York City is located in The Quarter as are numerous other restaurants. The shops are also very good. I was there last Thanksgiving weekend and it was a lot of fun! Atlantic city is improving all the time. There is a new mall outside of Ceasars and chefs from around the country are opening venues in the various hotels. Its a great time to visit AC! Moms
