Can anyone help me with a room in Oct. 18-23,? We will be visiting friends in Brick so wanted to be close but yet be on the ocean, Thanks,

If you want to be in Beach Haven, on the beach I would recommend the Engleside or the Coral Seas. The Sea Shell is also on the beach, but has a reputation for being noisy. Just north of Beach Haven (in Spray Beach) is the Spray Beach motel. I know the Engleside and the Spray Beach motel will be open. the Coral Seas does shut down, but I am not sure when. There are also some lovely B%26amp;B/Inns in Beach Haven, but I cannot think of one on the beach, but most are within a block. It will be chilly in Oct, so bring a fleece or other warm jacket. We go down often in the fall and just love it!

I am looking for rooms in Oct. 18 -23 again. Is Beach Haven the name of this area in Brick? Is there cottages to rent in this area??

Beach Haven is on Long Beach Island, exit 63 off the Garden State Parkway. Brick is further north (I think exit 91--so 30 miles north on the parkway, plus local traffic). I misundersood your post, and thought you wanted Beach Haven, as that is what you posted under. I do not know Brick, so I would start with your friends, and repost here either under the subheading ';Brick'; or just leave it as New Jersey! Good luck and have a nice visit.

If you are going to visit friends in Brick, I would suggest staying in Manasquan, Pt. Pleasant, Sea Girt, Bay Head or Spring Lake. LBI is at least an hour from Brick. Manasquan would be a better bet, about 10 minutes from Brick. The town is really cute, and there are a few B%26amp;B%26#39;s there. Pt. Pleasant is right on the beach, and there are numerous hotels/motels there to stay. Sea Girt, Bay Head, and Spring Lake would all be upscale places to stay. Spring Lake has a cute little town, and there are numerous B%26amp;B places to stay there.

If you stay at any of these above towns, you would be 20 minutes at the most from Brick. Good Luck.
