What city/town is best to look for a seasonal quite place away from large crowds
Single in mid 50s so don%26#39;t need more than 1 bedroom and can walk to beach
Need your help - Where to rent seasonal place
You posted under Ocean City, then asked which town....So you will find a lot of opinions (strongly held) about the benefits of various NJ shore communities. Post with more information about the type of activities, dining, shopping and people (i.e. other singles, families, lots of night life etc) with whom you care to surround yourself. The realtors in most towns are probably only just beginning to book for next season, so they may not know which are available for the whole season. You can also try www.vrbo.com or www.shoresummerrentals.com to rent directly from owner. Some owners maintain their own sites as well. If you think you may like one of the towns on Long Beach Island there is a site www.lbi.net where owners can post rental classifieds for free, as well as a question and answer forum where I have seen postings requesting a season rental. New owners sometimes have the whole season open and may jump at a season rental,.
Need your help - Where to rent seasonal place
I am nott familar with the various towns alomng the shore so looking for advice as to a quiet town with older/senior crowd vs younger crowd
Just looking to relax - sit by pool or balcony - walk along ocean
No need for fancy restaurants/bars etc.
Ocean city probably would be too crowded
You might like Beach Haven, on Long Beach Island. It is not a ';party town';, but does have some nice restaurants and shopping. There are also families. The Surflight Theater has professional summer stock theater, and there are churches of many denominations in the town center. The rental stock is a mix of older Cape Cod styles, ranches, new construction and some condos. Ask for just south of the town center for less crowds. The island is not very wide in Beach Haven, so you%26#39;re rarely more than a few blocks to either beach or bay.
I went to a bridal shower in Point Pleasant Beach, NJ, and the town was very quiet and very charming.
Here is the website - http://www.pointpleasantbeach.com
It is north closer to New York City.
