Driving to AC from Pittsburgh Area - Help Please???

Hi All,

We are getting ready for a trip to AC. We are leaving late tonight %26amp; need a little help. We have been there multiple times but have had others drive us. We prefer to stay out of big cities if at all possible. Can we take the PA Turnpike %26amp; route around Philly with no trouble? Does it stay 76 directly to 42 which turns into the AC expressway. Any easy routes or tips would be greatly appreciated. Cant wait to get there. The slots are calling our names.

Driving to AC from Pittsburgh Area - Help Please???

The PA Turnipike in the area of the NE Extension turns from 76 to 276. Route 76 becomes the Schuykill Expressway (toll free road).

Though the Schuykill Expressway can be a pain especially at rush hour that the most direct road. You will go over the Walt Whitman Bridge which puts you on route 42 which takes you to a fork, left side is the AC Expressway, right side is Route 322. Once you hit the Walt Whitman its about an hour drive to Atlantic City.
