What time does the shops on the boardwalk open? I am planning our daytrip and need to now a few specifics. We have approximately 8 hours and would like to stuff as much in as possible. By the way the trip is Oct. 19 (next Thursday). We are flying in @ 9:00 am. Should we go to the Walk Outlet first then the Boardwalk or vice versa? We have never been and really don%26#39;t plan to gamble maybe 1/2 hour or so. Any recommendations are greatly appreciated....
Thanks,
Boardwalk Shops???
I would start at the outlet walk .The boardwalk will be a bit breezy in the morning . And some of the shops open late ,11am or so . Most of the better shops are in the boardwalk casinos . Try the Quarter at the Tropicanna for starters .Then walk north to the Cearsar%26#39;s Mall . You might like the AC Museum which is a couple blocks north of Showboat on the boardwalk . You could take a rolling chair from near the SAnds to the museum .
Boardwalk Shops???
Thanks, anymore suggestions???
If your yearning for a quick ,good, cheap lunch during that Boardwalk shopping, duck into the Irish Pub for a bite!
I agree with visitng The Walk early as all the stores will be open and not very crowded. If you are still there around lunch time, try Los Amigos [on Atlantic ave just off Michigan] or Tun Tavern [the end of The Walk in the Sheraton] for lunch. Both are reasonably priced.
For the afternoon, try strolling %26#39;up%26#39; the boardwalk towards Resorts/Taj/Showboat. Visit the Central Pier for claw machines and a 99cent store for cheap souveniers. The Irish Pub [mentioned by moneywho] is accross from the Central Pier and right down St James Place. Take some snapshots of the Steel Pier as this is it%26#39;s last year as an amusement pier [it is only open weekends til the end of October]. Go to the next pier, the Garden Pier for the AC Historical Museum [mentioned by Allure] hours: 10-4. http://www.acmuseum.net/ Don%26#39;t miss the movie. It%26#39;s free and the Art Center on the same pier is free also. When leaving the Garden Pier, you will have a great view of all 5 electric generating windmills - another snapshot opp.
